Alumni life in Volgograd hub is extremely exciting!

New year started with two seminars that were organized on February 1-2, 2002. Grantwriting seminar-training was a very promoting activity. Alumni acquired new useful skills to be grantwriters and help their communities by receiving grant money for the projects' implementation. Participating in the seminar American University: Architectural Image and Philosophy we got a new perspective on how American campus life is organized.

St. Valentine's Day was greatly celebrated at school #140: alumni team gave a performance on the history of that holiday for the school students and had organized some fun contests for them.

In spring Volgograd Alumni Debate team participated in All-Russia alumni debates in Ekaterinburg and Moscow.

On May 15th many alumni attended Internet Access Training Program center opening ceremony at Volgograd City Gorky Library. On May 17th the center was also opened in Elista, Kalmykia.

Astrakhan English Resource Center - the outcome of the project that alumni worked on - was officially opened by the Department of Education also on May 17th.

We are proud to be alumni of FSA FLEX program and we are so grateful to the ACIE staff for offering us such a variety of activities and for assisting us with holding some of them.
